In reply to Warcat. I know what you mean. Some days I fall into the camp of "I know what I need to be doing...but I can't bring myself to do it." The 5 second rule has helped a lot with that inertia.

Glad to find a site dedicated to Military ScIFi. All 3 of your examples I read long ago. I hated the schlock MOVIES THAT STOLE Bob Heinlin’s title. The book and his THE MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS were influenced by the society of his times and what he saw coming. As for the Poteen War series it is one fun ride. Finally we have Jerry Pournell and Larry Niven which were a good in serious reading. Also check on Jerry’s Jannisary series. It too was ahead of it’s time. Finally I wish to add Professer William R Forstechen’s LOST REGEMENT SERIES AND THE JOHN MATHERSON SERIES? Maybe the most intense and possibly most accurate saga of what would follow an EMP event. All this shows how old I am when I think of Edgar Rice Burroughs and EE”DOC” Smith and their series written so long ago. I sometimes wonder if living this long was really worth it???

In reply to J.R. Handley. I think if they hadn't unsubscribed, I would have eventually sent them an email to the ones who are not opening the messages to see if they would like to remain on the list. That way I could segment them and keep them engaged. But since they unsubscribed while I was STILL giving them free content, I can only assume they just wanted the novella.
